Most durood counters open with a target of 100 already set. Nothing is wrong with counting 100. What's wrong is presenting it as though the hadith asked for it.

The hadith in Sahih Muslim 408 states a reward, not a quota: whoever sends one salah upon the Prophet, Allah sends ten upon him. That is a reason to say it often. It is not an instruction to say it a specific number of times a day.

So this counter starts with no target for durood, and you set your own. Every preset in the app follows the same rule: where a number is narrated it's shown with its source, and where it isn't, the app says so.
