The service is free and provided as is

Tasbih.info costs nothing to use. There's no signup, no password, no email address and no payment, so there's nothing to cancel and no account to lose.

Your counts, your history and your settings are written to your own browser's storage. The live count and your settings go into localStorage, and your session history goes into IndexedDB. We don't hold any of it on a server, because there's no server holding user data at all.

One honest caveat: the site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, they see the requests that reach them, including your IP address, and request logging is switched on for this site. "Nothing on our servers" isn't the same as "no trace anywhere", and the privacy page explains what that means.

We provide the site as is. We don't promise it will always be online, always be free of bugs, or behave identically on every browser and phone. If we ever can't keep it running, we'll say so on the site.

• No login, no account, no personal details asked for.
• No ads, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Opening the counter makes no request to any third party.
• The fonts are served from this site, not from Google, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you were here.
• Source links inside the app point to sunnah.com or Quran.com. Those are other sites with their own terms. Opening one sends a request to that site, not to us, and the link is set so it doesn't pass on where you came from.

Using the site fairly

Use the counter as much as you like, on your own, with your family, or in your masjid. We only ask you not to attack it or drain it.

If traffic is clearly abusive, we may block it. If you want the dhikr data with its references for your own project, write to us instead of scraping. We'd rather talk about it.

• Don't try to break in, probe for holes, or interfere with how the site works for other people.
• Don't flood it with automated requests, load test it, or try to knock it over.
• Don't bulk scrape the pages or copy the site and run it as your own.

The Islamic content and its limits

The app has 21 dhikr presets. The counting screen shows the Arabic and the transliteration. Tap the info button next to the phrase and you get the meaning, the note about the count, the grading where there is one, and a direct link to its hadith or Qur'anic source.

Mufti Salim Qasmi builds the site and reviews its Islamic content. No institution has reviewed, approved or endorsed the site, and nothing on it is a fatwa.

Where a narration is graded or disputed, the note says so, and it names the scholars where we have them. We don't settle the difference. For a ruling that applies to you, your madhhab or your situation, ask a qualified scholar you trust. This app doesn't replace that.

8 of the 21 presets carry no target number, because the hadith gives none. For those the counter reads "no set count", and the note says when a familiar number is common practice rather than a narrated one.

Accuracy, and how we handle errors

The rule for the dhikr file is that nothing goes in from memory. Every reference was checked against a primary source before it shipped, and that rule covers Quranic text too.

Where we can't source something properly yet, we leave it out and say why. The three Quls now close the post-salah sequence. Ayat al-Kursi is available as a verified preset but remains outside the guided sequence because its post-salah narration is not in a collection this site can link to directly.

We'll still be wrong sometimes. When we are, we fix it and record it publicly on the corrections page: what was wrong, what it says now, and the date it changed. Nothing gets quietly edited out.

If you find an error in a reference, a grading, an Arabic word, a translation or anything else, please tell us at help@tasbih.info. We'd rather hear it from you than leave it up.

No warranty on the count itself

The app works hard not to lose your count. Every tap writes the live count straight to your browser's storage, rather than on a timer or when you close the tab. A crash, a swipe away, an accidental refresh or a dead battery should cost you nothing.

That storage belongs to your browser, not to us. Private windows, clearing browsing data, storage limits, and phones that clear out sites you haven't opened in a while can all wipe it. The app asks the browser to keep its storage permanently, and the browser is free to say no.

One thing worth knowing about history: a session is saved when a count is retired, meaning a reset, a change of dhikr, or a step of the post-salah sequence. A count still sitting on the counter hasn't been recorded yet.

So we give no warranty on the number. We hold no server copy and there is no automatic sync between devices. You can save a local backup file and restore it later, but only a file you deliberately exported can recover data after browser storage is cleared. Treat the counter as a counting aid rather than a permanent server record of your worship.

What belongs to whom

The code, the design, the icons and the words we wrote on these pages belong to us. Don't copy the site and run it as your own.

The Quranic and hadith text isn't ours, and we claim nothing over it. It's quoted from public sources, with the collection, the number, the grading where we have one, and a link to where you can read the full narration. If you want to quote that text, cite the source, not us.

Normal use is fine and always will be: read it, screenshot it, share the link, use it in your masjid, teach from it.

Changes

The site will change. Features get added, references get corrected, pages get rewritten. We may change or remove any part of it at any time, and we may stop running it altogether.

These terms can change too. When they do, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, it also goes in the corrections log. Carrying on using the site after a change means the new version applies to you.
