Dhikr in Ramadan
Every Ramadan the same lists appear. Say this a thousand times on the first night. Say that on each of the last ten. A number for each day of the month.
Almost none of it has a source.
This page is about what is actually established, and about the one Ramadan dua that is most often misquoted.
There is no special Ramadan count
No narration gives a daily dhikr count that applies to Ramadan and not to other months.
The established phrases stay the same. What changes is how much people do of them.
Increasing dhikr in Ramadan is well founded. Attaching a new number to a phrase because it is Ramadan is not.
The Laylatul Qadr dua
This is the one Ramadan supplication almost everyone looks for, and it is the one most often printed wrong.
It is narrated in Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3513.
A word is commonly added to it in circulating images and cards — an addition that is not established in the narration.

What to actually do
Take phrases that are established and do more of them.
None of these needs a Ramadan-specific number to be worth increasing.
- The post-salah sequence after each fard prayer — the sources are on dhikr after salah.
- Astaghfirullah, which has a narrated hundred a day — Sahih Muslim 2702.
- SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, also a hundred — Sahih al-Bukhari 6405.
- The Laylatul Qadr dua in the last ten nights — Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3513.
The lists to be careful with
Ramadan is the peak season for invented counts, and they share the same shape all year.
An oddly specific number, a fixed duration, a named outcome, and no collection or grading given.
